SOS, help Save our Seniors! Furry Friends Network hopes to raise awareness of senior pets needing medical help required to find their new place to call home. Furry Friends Network’s Saving Our Seniors fund has been established to help ensure necessary medical care is available for senior dogs and cats and give these precious seniors a chance to find forever homes with loving families.
There are many cats and dogs, now in their golden years, who have lost their families, many because of financial difficulty acquiring needed medical care. Senior animals are amazing in so many ways. Please help us provide older dogs and cats another chance to enjoy the twilight of their lives in the warmth of a loving home.

This is Sincere. Sincere was abandoned at a kennel in 2008 as an 8-year old dog. He waited patiently as Furry Friends Network worked hard to find him a permanent address. Thankfully, in February 2009, Sincere’s wish came true. He packed up and moved to New Jersey and never looked back. He was loved more than words can describe by not just his human mom and dad but also by his canine and feline siblings. Sincere was the kind of dog anyone could talk to, he was everyone’s friend. He lived life to the fullest and sadly, at age 15, Sincere’s family lost their beloved boy. Fortunate for Sincere, his family was willing to open their hearts and home to a senior. Sincere gave his entire heart, a true testament for the Pit Bull Terrier and the love a senior dog can give for no matter how long they are on this earth. Although it would have been amazing to have him on this earth longer, it wasn’t the quantity, but the quality of love he both gave and received. Sincere and his adoptive family are a loving testament to those willing to open their hearts and homes to a senior in need. With your help, Furry Friends Network’s Saving Our Seniors can help make funds available to those willing to give a senior a chance – to love them for no matter the time.

This is Utah. Utah was nearly 9 years old when he came into Furry Friends Network foster care. Utah was adopted by his foster family after both realized this was Utah’s perfect forever home. Utah’s motto was Life’s a Ball, and his senior level of energy devoted to playing ball never ceased to amaze all who knew him. It is said, blessed is he who has earned the love of an old dog, and Utah’s adoptive family felt very blessed indeed to share their hearts and home with this loyal and devoted senior German Shepherd. A life time of love was shared before Utah crossed the rainbow bridge in June 2008.

This is Harpo. Once over 10 years old, you think nothing really new and exciting can happen – but it did for Harpo. Harpo waited patiently for a year in his foster home when he found out that love is still possible for a little old guy with only one tooth. An unmistakable happy smile was always on the cute little face of this senior. Harpo crossed the rainbow bridge in March 2015. During the two years he spent in his adoptive home, he gave and received more love than most have in a lifetime. Harpo will never be forgotten by all who loved him; this sweet little angel is greatly missed by all who knew him.

This is Bernard, a 10-12 year Beagle Mix named because he looks like a miniature Saint Bernard. This laid back senior enjoys a walk, a good nap and hanging out with the family. He likes everyone, kids, dogs and cats. He is a great companion without all the work of a mischievous puppy or a dog full of bottomless energy. This great senior family companion found his adoptive home in November 2015.

This is Katie. Katie came to Furry Friends Network from a hoarder situation when she was 6 years old. Poor Katie was epileptic and in terrible shape. Once on proper medication her personality blossomed and she never had another seizure. Katie was adopted by a wonderful woman, Mary Jane; and Katie and Mary Jane adored each other. Sadly Mary Jane unexpectedly passed away a few years later and Katie came back into foster care. Not only was Katie an older dog but she was also a dog who was epileptic, which made her adoption prospects limited at best. However, Katie’s charm won over the perfect family of five where she would also have some kids to call her own! How wonderful they took a chance on our nearly 9 year old Katie! Katie is now 10 and continues to thrive with her family.

This is Droopy. Droopy was feeling a little droopy when his former family no longer wanted him at 10 years of age. Droopy was, however, in good health and a laid back, easy-going guy who won the hearts of his new family, who appreciated a dog that isn’t all the work of a puppy and content to chill and hang out with you after a long day. Droopy is now a very happy boy because his family decided to give a senior dog another chance at having a loving home.
