Furry Friends Network often receives dogs and cats with severe injuries, illness, and/or are in need of major surgery. To help them we have established a fund that will allow you to help us help these precious animals. Although we have always, and will continue, to cover these costs through continuous fundraising efforts, there have been times when we have wondered how we would make ends meet while also continuing to care for our other animals. We have named this fund after Hope, a very special Basset Hound who was mistreated as a puppy in a puppy mill. She was picked up by her back leg, and although surgery was performed in hopes of correcting the injury, Hope was never able to use that leg.

Hope found a home, despite her handicap, but we learned after a year, she was slated to die because she had severe allergies. Thank goodness we found out and were able to have her surrendered back to Furry Friends Network. After many trips to the allergist, Hope found a fabulous home, and lived the life of a queen. She is very famous in our rescue and has even appeared as a calendar girl. Hope is a success story and has what we pray all animals get at chance at – life, love and unbounded happiness.

Hope fought bravely, but on September 15, 2008, she lost her battle with Lymphoma. Sweet Hope, who brought much love and laughter to so many lives, crossed the bridge and is just on the other side playing like she never was able to on this earth. She is gone, but certainly not forgotten!

Chief was picked up by the Steelton Police after being hit by a car.

Since he was “no one’s” cat, he needed help, and FFN stepped up to the plate.
