Our Annual Fundraisers
Furry Friends Network volunteers work tirelessly year round to raise funds to support our mission. FFN's annual Strikes for Strays bowl-a-thon and Race for Their Lives 5K run and 2-mile fun walk generate a significant portion of our operating funds to help homeless and unwanted animals. Strikes for Strays is a February event that provides a great afternoon of bowling, fun, food, and prizes to help support the FFN mission. The goal of our September Race for Their Lives at Gifford Pinchot State Park is to increase awareness of the plight of homeless and unwanted animals and to raise funds for veterinary services for animals under our care and for spay/neuter surgeries to break the cycle of homeless cat colonies in our area. Both are great events formatted for the entire family.
As our volunteer force has grown, we have introduced some additional annual fundraising events to help pay our unending veterinary bills. At Easter time, loads of smiles and tail wags are generated at our Egg Hunts held in Boiling Springs and Lancaster. In October, we hold our annual Mutt Mixer and Flea Market in Lancaster. Our most recent annual fundraiser addition is in November, our annual Silent Auction at The Rolling Bead in Carlisle. Check our Upcoming Events Page often to find out where you can join us at one of our fundraising events.
